Oak Hostel Zen - Tokyo

I had a fantastic experience at this modern and well, maintained hostel. the dorm rooms are spacious, with ample storage space for backpacks and individual lockers. Each bed comes with its own light and plug, as well as curtains for privacy. the laundry facilities were reliable, and the location, although not the top tourist area, is convenient for JR Yamanote line users. the staff were helpful and offered great local advice.

I got great value for my money at Oak Hostel Zen. The room was comfortable and spacious, and I ended up extending my stay because I loved it so much. The location was convenient, with easy access to the metro and a short walk to shops and restaurants.

The only thing that could have made the breakfast better was more variety in the food options.

my second stay in tokyo exceeded expectations at a cozy, well-located hostel. clean, spacious kitchen and friendly staff made it a comfortable experience. close to train station, ueno park, and a 24-hour convenience store for added convenience. definitely recommend for both adults and youths!

Wifi was unstable.

The location is convenient, just a short walk from the train station. the private room was comfortable with enough space for luggage. the staff were helpful and friendly, offering advice on local activities. the hostel had a well, equipped kitchen and common areas, and the reception was open for assistance until late at night. Free storage was provided for early check, in and late departure.

Some rooms could use a deeper clean, with stains and marks on the walls.

Noise and light disturbance during sleep.

The spacious and comfortable bed provided us with a good night's sleep. The staff were friendly and their English proficiency made communication easy. We also appreciated the useful guidelines available at the reception. The hostel's proximity to the JR station allowed us to conveniently explore both Tokyo and its outskirts using our JR passes. the 15-minute walk through Ueno Park to Ueno was a pleasant experience.

They were able to speak English well, which made communication easy.

There was a bit of noise at night with people coming and going, which could be a bit disruptive for light sleepers.

I had a wonderful stay at Oak Hostel Zen for 2 nights and 3 days. The room was clean and the attached bathroom had all the necessary amenities like shampoo, body shampoo, and a hair dryer. The staff were extremely friendly and even helped us carry our luggage. The kitchen was spacious and well equipped. The location was convenient, close to the train station and plenty of eateries. it was a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Would definitely recommend this hotel.
